Parishioners and devotees of the Parish of Saint Catherine of Alexandria in the Municipality of Luna, La Union, celebrated the 150th Anniversary of the Arrival of Our Lady of Namacpacan on November 19, 2021. Famously known as Apo Baket (dear elderly woman) by the locals, the faithful community-led various activities to highlight the religious milestone of the Shrine of Our Lady of Namacpacan.

After series of workshops and mapping activities conducted to identify and develop potential sites for the bike and nature tourism circuits, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) in collaboration with the Department of Tourism – Region 1 (DOT-R1) officially launched the Bike and Nature Trail Tourism in the province on November 19, 2021 as part of the Immersion Tour during the Region 1 Tourism Convention.

To intensify tourism activity in the province and the entire region, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) and the Department of Tourism – Region 1 (DOT-R1) collaborated for the Opening of the ‘I’m IN LUv’ and ‘Find The One in Region 1’ Travel Fair on November 18, 2021 at the Pentecostal Compound, Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union.
