In celebration of the Month of the Ocean with the theme “Unlock Ocean-Based Solutions to Climate: Karagatan ang Solusyon,” the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), through its Provincial Government–Environment and Natural Resources Office, spearheaded a series of coastal clean-up activities and a Communication, Education, and Public Awareness campaign. These were held on May 14, 2025, at the Agoo-Damortis Protected Landscape and Seascape and on May 20, 2025, at Barangay Carisquis, Luna.

In celebration of National Heritage Month, the Provincial Government of La Union, through the La Union Provincial Tourism Office – Culture and the Arts Unit, successfully conducted the 4th La Union Annual Youth Taoid Camp (LUAYTC) from May 19 to 23, 2025. The camp brought together 20 youth leaders committed to championing the preservation and promotion of local heritage.
With the goal of reinforcing inclusive and transformative governance through participatory planning and investment, the Provincial Development Council (PDC) of La Union held its first council meeting for Calendar Year 2025 on May 27 via video conference. The meeting was presided over by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David as the PDC Chairperson.
