BLDH observes Generics Awareness Month conducts Lecture

In observance of the Generics Awareness Month with the theme "Tatlong Dekada: Generics, Abot Kamay... Abot Kaya!," Balaoan District Hospital (BLDH) conducted an awareness lecture on the Generics Act of 1988 on September 19, 2022 at the Out-Patient Department of BLDH, Balaoan, La Union.
Elizabeth Maganis, Pharmacist 1 of BLDH discussed the advantages of generic medicines. Moreso, she lectured the participants on rational drug use and clarified misconceptions about it and reminded them to buy medicines only in pharmacies registered in the Food and Drug Administration to ensure safety and efficacy of items purchased.
Health promotion is a regular activity at the BLDH out-patient in- accordance to the P.U.S.O agenda of Gov. Rafy Ortega-David.
