With enthusiasm and optimism, the whole Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) welcomes Gov. Raphaelle Veronica โRafyโ Ortega-David as she visited the different offices to personally see the situation of employees and the current operations in the organization, as she formally takes her seat on June 30, 2022, at noon.
After winning the hearts of the kaprobinsiaan last election and officially taking her oath of office, Gov. Rafy is now set to prove the โPuso, Serbisyo, at Sigasig ng bagong henerasyonโ as she takes the responsibility of leading the province of La Union and continues the Transformative Governance the previous administration had started.
On her first day, the Governor personally decided to visit the offices herself and talk to the employees comfortably. Her kamustahan with employees is her way of bringing herself closer to them and check on their welfare as well as their officeโs conditions. Gov. Rafy wants the PGLU employees to have a healthy mental state and a happy working environment for she believes that these contribute to their productivity and to the overall performance of the Provincial Government. She also reminded everyone to be cordial to co-workers and clients for she wants the PGLU employees to be remembered by the kaprobinsiaan as good-natured public servants. Her PGLU office tour continued on her second day of office.
The Governorโs humility impressed the PGLU employees and made them admire Gov. Rafy even more. This made an impression that the young governor really puts the kaprobinsiaan above anything else, hence she is primed in this very significant role.
As a jumpstart to her term, on July 1, 2022, Gov. Rafy officiated the oath-taking of the Department Heads who will play a big role in the realization of her P.U.S.O. Agenda which focuses on People-Centered and Driven Governance; Universal Access to Basic Needs; Sustainable and Progressive Economy; and Orderly, Sustainable, and Resilient Component City, Municipalities, and Barangays. Moreso, signifies the empowerment of the different PGLU offices and hospitals that will result in better systems and procedures as well as improvements and developments of programs and services beneficial to every kaprobinsiaan.
New service vehicles were also turned over to Sangguniang Panlalawigan and Security and Services Unit for convenient liaising and faster service rendition of the employees under the said offices.
The PGLU looks forward to the new administration led by Gov. Rafy as she thrusts the province towards greater heights and better opportunities. As she leads the Province of La Union in this new chapter of governance, Gov. Rafy encourages all kaprobinsiaan to be united and hand-in-hand to take part in the fulfillment of her pledged commitment in the continuous legacy of building a #StrongerLaUnion.
