As part of the 172nd Founding Anniversary of La Union, the Local Economic Enterprise and Investment Promotions Unit (LEEIPU) and Information Communications and Technology Unit (ICTU) partnered in providing the Electronic Business Permits and Licensing System (e-BPLS) webinar to component Local Government Units (LGUs) of the province.

With its commitment to continuously ease business transactions in the province, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) made a partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to facilitate the said webinar which was attended by the Business Process and Licensing Officers of the 20 component LGUs.

In his message, Gov. Francisco Emmanuel โ€œPacoyโ€ R. Ortega III emphasized on innovation as increasingly essential for an effective response and recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic, โ€œAs we move towards crisis recovery and transformation, jump- starting local economy through the use of technology is a potential support to the sustainable development.โ€

The e-BPLS webinar wrapped with a challenge to the LGUs to improve their business process and shift to the digital platform as a positive result of the pandemic. The PGLU is optimistic that the said webinar shall lead the way to a sustained and aggressive economic growth and a stronger La Union, a province worth living in.
