In celebration of National Bicycle Day and Philippine Clean Air Month, the Provincial Government of La Union - Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) headed by the Officer-in-Charge EnP. Annalyn Rosario-Valdez spearheaded a Bike Fun Ride on November 28, 2021.
The bike fun ride started at Bacnotan Municipal Hall and finished at the Municipality of Luna to improve air quality by promoting non-motorized transportation to the environment.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte issued Proclamation 1052, s. 2020 declaring the fourth Sunday of November of every year as βNational Bicycle Day.β
Furthermore, National Clean Air Month is celebrated every November in the country.
With the intensified #KalikasanNaman campaign of the Provincial Government of La Union, we continue to involve ourselves in protecting our finite natural resources. May we always set a good example to our future generations in preserving the beauty of our beloved La Union, a province worth living in.
