With the continuous effort to build a resilient Province, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) held the 2nd quarter meeting on June 14, 2022, at the La Union Peace, Order, and Safety โ Emergency Operations Center, City of San Fernando, La Union to discuss the upcoming plans and strengthen strategies and operation of different local government units and attached agencies in line with disaster management and emergency response.
Provincial Health Officer Dr. Eduardo Posadas presented the CoViD-19 updates and their accomplishments in the Province of La Union while the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) laid out their plans and preparation during the rainy season.
Also among the matters discussed include the update on trainings in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH) and Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center (ITRMC), and the Disaster Resilience Month Celebration.
Spearheaded by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), the meeting was attended by the Department Heads and representatives of different PGLU Offices, representatives from the Philippine National Police โ La Union Police Provincial Office, Philippine Coast Guard, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Trade and Industry, National Irrigation Administration, Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of Education-La Union Schools Division Office, Department of Labor and Employment, Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Red Cross, Department of Science and Technology, and City DRRMO.
The Provincial Government of La Union remains committed in ensuring the security and safety of all Kaprobinsiaan being on top of priority through strengthened and well-discussed plans towards building a #StrongerLaUnion, a province worth living in.
