In collaboration with Department of Tourism โ€“ Region 1 (DOT-ROI), the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) joined the 29th Travel Tour Expo (TTE) held on June 24 to 26, 2022 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia, Manila. The expo was organized by the Philippine Travel Agencies Association, Inc. (PTAA) for the promotion of domestic and inbound tourism showcasing Philippine destinations and newly launched products and circuits.

The three-day event gathered travel and trade industry partners alongside allied industries such as suppliers of the hospitality and leisure markets from Philippines and abroad. DOT-ROI team was composed of representatives from the Provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan.

La Union delegates were composed of the La Union Provincial Tourism Office (LUPTO) headed by Provincial Tourism Officer Arthur S. Cortez, Jr. and representatives from the La Union Alliance of Travel and Tour Agencies (LUATTA). The team showcased tour packages of the province highlighting the newly developed products, destinations and circuits. Product presentation and food tasting of local gastronomic offerings were also conducted.

It is expected that La Unionโ€™s participation in this yearโ€™s TTE will encourage travel movements and tourism traffic in the province. TTE has also become an avenue for marketing cooperation and network building as stakeholders are given the opportunity to rebuild and reconnect with travel and trade industry players participating in the event to further open the countryโ€™s tourism industry beyond the travel bubbles that were created because of the CoViD-19 pandemic. The PGLU is committed to work hand in hand with our key government partners, tourism players and stakeholders in braving and shaping the future of travel.
