The Provincial Government โ€“ Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) presented to Governor Raphaelle Veronica โ€œRafyโ€ Ortega-David the study on the proposed establishment of bulk water facility in the Province of La Union on September 8, 2022 at the Office of the Governor, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.

Present during the presentation were PG-ENRO Assistant Department Head EnP. Annalyn Rosario-Valdez; Senior Environmental Management Specialist EnP. Shereal M. Catbagan; EnP. Roshelle Mamaril of Provincial Planning and Development Office; and Ms. Angela Peralta of Local Economic Enterprise and Investment Promotions Unit. Forester Jay-ar O. Raquedan, Environmental Management Specialist II presented the said study.

In his presentation, he identified the various challenges in water resources in La Union such as water scarcity, saltwater intrusion, and groundwater depletion. He further presented the proposed projects on bulk water facilities which aim to address the challenges on water resources. After the presentation, Gov. Rafy expressed her support in the said project.

With the provinceโ€™s call for #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan in protecting the environment as we gear towards the realization of La Union being the Heart of Agri-tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025, the Provincial Government of La Union shall continue to develop innovative solutions to ensure environmental sustainability in the Province.
