The Provincial Government of La Union in strong partnership with the Philippine National Police Regional Office 1 have ensured their commitment to uphold continuous peace, order and security in the Province of La Union as Gov. Raphaelle Veronica โRafyโ Ortega-David graced the traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony of the PNP held at Police Regional Office 1 Grandstand, Camp BGen. Oscar M Florendo, Parian, City of San Fernando, La Union today, July 11, 2022.
An arrival honors for the Governor was rendered as she served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker in the said ceremony. In her speech, Gov. Rafy expressed her gratitude to the whole PRO 1 led by Regional Director PBGEN WESTRIMUNDO OBINQUE for their continued efforts and commitment in safeguarding the Province.
โLet me take this opportunity to offer my snappiest salute as a gesture of my wholehearted respect and gratitude to the whole PNP for your intensive efforts and for going beyond the call of duty to serve and protect our kaprobinsiaan here in the Province and all the people across the entire Ilocos Region,โ the Governor said. โAng ating tagumpay na panatilihing mababa ang bilang ng krimen sa ating Probinsya at Rehiyon ay bunga ng inyong kahusayan, sigasig, at dedikasyon sa inyong tungkulin maging ng pakiki-isa ng bawat mamamayan. Sa ating pagtutulungan, ang Region 1 ay talaga namang number 1 sa Peace and Order na siyang nagbibigay daan sa patuloy na paglago ng lokal na ekonomiya,โ she added.
Being one of her utmost priority, Gov. Rafy reiterated that there is no space for violence of fear-mongering in the Province. She express her full support to the advocacies and programs of the PNP and continues to build strong ties with the authorities and force multipliers in enforcing initiatives and goals for peace and order to make everything come into reality.
She further commits to strengthen and improve public safety and security towards a peaceful and orderly province through her La Union PROBINSYAnihan advocacy centered on cooperation and unity of every Kaprobinsiaan.
The Provincial Government of La Union continues to ensure safety and security of all constituents in the Province which remains integral in attaining sustainable development towards the continuous building of a progressive and #StrongerLaUnion.
