In line with Gov. Raphaelle Veronica โ€œRafyโ€ Ortega-Davidโ€™s P.U.S.O. Agenda in providing Universal Access to Basic Needs including Medical and Health Services, Bacnotan District Hospital (BDH) Public Health Unit headed by Dr. Zenserly D. Pagaduan convened with the Local Chief Executives (LCE) and Municipal Health Officers (MHO) of Bacnotan, San Juan and San Gabriel on July 21-22, 2022.

The said municipalities are the hospitalโ€™s catchment areas, hence, the need to for a coordination meeting with their LCEs and MHOs to give updates on the implementation of Universal Health Care in the province. More so, to foster #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan, BDH assured their full support in the LGUโ€™s health projects and endeavors that would be beneficial to the kaprobinsiaan.

Mayor Lany B. Carbonell of San Gabriel especially thanked the employees and staff of BDH for their untiring efforts in serving her constituents while Mayor Arturo P. Valdriz of San Juan and Mayor Divina C. Fontanilla of Bacnotan assured the team of their full support for the welfare of the patients, most especially the less privileged. Current plans, programs, and concerns as well as ways to improve systems were also discussed.

With the strong partnership of BDH and the LGUs, the Provincial Government of La Union is optimistic that the medical needs and health of kaprobinsiaan in the
Agri-tourism circuit of the province will be attended to and that it remains among the top priorities of the provincial government.
