World Health Day BLDH

In observance of World Health Day, Health Education and Promotion Officer (HEPO) Nurse Claire Ramirez conducts an education and awareness lecture about heat stroke at the ward of Balaoan District Hospital (BLDH) on April 8, 2019. Since it is summer season, heat stroke is prevalent especially in the elderly and children. To protect themselves, they must know the causes, symptoms, preventive measures and emergency treatment of heatstroke. BLDH aims to educate and promote health to patients and watchers whenever possible that is why during ward rounds, nurses take time to discuss health tips that are helpful to patients.
