TUBERCULOSIS (TB) ADVOCACY. In preparation of the observance of World TB Day this month, Ms. Evangelina Karganilla, nurse at the TB Clinic of Bacnotan District Hospital (BDH), and the Tuberculosis Directly Observed Treatment Short course (TB-DOTS) Committee members raise awareness about tuberculosis among the vendors at Bacnotan, La Union Public Market on March 7, 2019. Information dissemination about this disease in the community especially at public places is crucial in order to educate the population on how to prevent the spread of this communicable disease. Advocacy activities and reaching out to people in the community is important in achieving Gov. Pacoy’s health agenda of a “Healthy La Union, Happy La Union by 2022.”
