STRATIGRAPHY MAPPING IN LA UNION. Geologists from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources -Mines and Geosciences Bureau (DENR-MGB) namely Kevin Garas, April Ondona, and Monaliza Alorro discuss to Gov. Pacoy their scheduled Cenozoic Stratigraphy Mapping Project in La Union, during their courtesy call on November 9, 2020, at the Provincial Capitol Building, City of San Fernando, La Union. The field survey on November 9-23, 2020 aims to determine the age, lithology, and relationships of different rocks and rock formations found in the province. As he expressed his support to the activity, Gov. Pacoy relayed that the geological survey is aligned with the revitalized thrust of the Provincial Government of La Union on environmental protection and preservation, as part of its initiatives in building a stronger La Union, a province worth living in. Assisting the MGB geologists are Mr. John Anthony Dacanay of the PGLU Environment and Natural Resources Unit, and the component LGUs.
