SP STAFF UNDERGO COMPUTER LITERACY ENHANCEMENT TRAINING

Employees of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) display their certificate of participation after completing the Computer Literacy Enhance training for SP Staff conducted on October 28 and 29, 2020 at the Cong. Eriguel Hall, SP Session Hall, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.

As part of the commitment of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) Secretariat in providing an efficient and effective technical and administrative support services to the Vice-Governor and SP Members and as identified in the SWOT Analysis Report and one of the actions as response in the ISO Risk Registry, the SP Department, headed by Mr. Donato A. Rimando, Secretary to the Sanggunian, conducted a Computer Literacy Enhancement Training for SP Staff on October 28 and 29, 2020 at the Cong. Eriguel Hall, 3rd Basement, SP Session Hall, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.

Topics included during the said training are Basic to Intermediate Tutorials on Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel conducted by speakers from the Information and Communications Technology Unit (ICTU) of the Office of the Governor, headed by Mr. Gerry D. Binas-o and Introduction to Photoshop and Basic Concepts of Graphic Design presented by resource speakers from the Provincial Information Office headed by Mr. Adamor L. Dagang.

The participants of the training were selected based on the results of the pre-training survey conducted by the Legislative Research and Policy Unit of the SP Secretariat that determined the computer literacy levels as well as the strengths and weaknesses of SP employees in terms of information technology.

After the said training, it is expected that the service delivery of the SP Secretariat will improve towards better legislative services and in turn, create a Stronger La Union.
