SP LU REVISITS EXECUTIVE – LEGISLATIVE AGENDA

Provincial Administrator Agnes Grace A. Cargamento facilitates the re-targeting workshop for the Legislative Agenda during the Executive-Legislative Agenda (ELA 2019-2020) Accomplishments – Review and Assessment on September 25, 2020, held at the Vista La Vita, San Vicente, City of San Fernando, La Union. The activity aimed to assess the status of the performance of the 22nd SP on the component of the Legislative Agenda and re-target the legislative support to be provided for the remaining quarter of 2020.
Exactly a year ago after the Legislative Agenda was formulated, the 22nd Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) together with their legislative secretaries conducted an Executive-Legislative Agenda (ELA 2019-2020) Accomplishments – Review and Assessment on the part of the legislative side on September 25, 2020 at the Vista La Vita, San Vicente, City of San Fernando, La Union.
Adopted through SP Resolution no. 1001-2019, the ELA 2019-2022 contains the comprehensive lists of programs, projects and policies to be formulated, adopted and implemented in support to the La Union Transformative Governance Framework.
The said activity aimed to assess the status of the performance of the 22nd SP on the component of the Legislative Agenda and re-target the legislative support to be provided for the remaining quarter of 2020.
As reported by SP Secretary, Mr. Donato A. Rimando, the 22nd SP has satisfactorily enacted 31 policies out of the 130 target policies. Likewise, 10 CoVid-19 ordinances and 10 resolutions were enacted in support to the implementation of various policies, guidelines and protocols as promulgated by the national and local IATF pertaining to the CoVid-19 pandemic.
Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Michaela Louise T. Delfinado, presented the proposed policies that could be adopted for the Stronger La Union Framework while Provincial Administrator Agnes Grace A. Cargamento aided the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Members in their re-targeting workshop for the Legislative Agenda.
The output of the workshop will be presented during the ELA Setting on November 2020 together with the different offices of the Executive Department.
The 22nd SP through the leadership of Vice Gov. Mario Eduardo C. Ortega committed their support to the Executive Department by delivering their mandates of crafting legislations not only those identified in the ELA but also, timely, relevant and responsive legislative measures geared towards building a Stronger La Union.
