SP CONDUCTS LEGISLATIVE AGENDA 2023-2025 ASSESSMENT, REVIEW; STRENGTHENING PARTNERSHIP FOR SIGNIFICANT, PRIORITY LEGISLATIONS

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of La Union conducted a one-day Legislative Assessment and Review on September 1, 2033, to evaluate progress in achieving legislative goals set in the 2023-2025 Executive Legislative Agenda. It was attended by the 23rd Sangguniang Panlalawigan members, led by Vice Gov. Mario Eduardo C. Ortega.

The assessment focused on legislative targets related to healthcare, education, infrastructure, and social services, crucial for La Union's development. Participants discussed and gave updates on the active legislative targets for a comprehensive understanding of the achievements and challenges faced in the legislative process.

Vice Gov. Ortega, emphasized the importance of maintaining enthusiasm and commitment to their job to be of service to the people. He encouraged a collaborative approach, stressing the need for cooperation between the executive and legislative branches to advance the interests of the province's constituents and for the realization of PGLUs goals and objectives. Lastly, he offered his office as a resource for those facing problems or needing assistance.

Showing her support to the Legislative Assessment's objectives, Gov. Raphaelle Veronica "Rafy" Ortega-David expressed support for the initiative, emphasizing the importance of a comprehensive legislative agenda to improve service delivery.

The event concluded with a commitment to strengthen cooperation among SP members and partner executive offices. The insights gained from this Legislative Assessment and Review will help further shape the legislative agenda of the current administration, ensuring that it aligns with the province's development goals and addresses the needs of its constituents.
