RDH Celebrates 53rd Anniversary, Champions #KalikasanNaman

The Rosario District Hospital (RDH) commemorated its 53rd Founding Anniversary with a vibrant celebration themed “Reconnecting with the Energy of Nature,” highlighting environmental responsibility, unity, and the hospital’s ongoing commitment to healthcare excellence.
Led by Chief of Hospital Dr. Michelle Arellano, the celebration coincided with Earth Day 2025 and began on April 22 with a Pledge of Commitment for a Green and Safe Healthcare Facility. Hospital personnel, then, participated in a Clean and Green drive within the premises to promote environmental consciousness in the workplace. The day also featured Laro ng Lahi, including Touch the Body, Jackstones, and Luksong Lubid, which fostered camaraderie, wellness, and cultural appreciation among staff.
The main anniversary event was held on May 2, 2025, wherein they offered a moment of reflection, gratitude, and spiritual unity for the community during the Thanksgiving Mass. The event was marked by several milestones, namely the inauguration of the newly renovated Dietary Building, the ceremonial planting of bougainvillea, and the turnover of a new administrative vehicle. These serve as symbols of growth and sustainability to help continue RDH’s delivery of quality healthcare services to KaPROBINSYAnihan.
Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David extended her congratulations and expressed gratitude to the RDH. “Napalaking tulong ang nagagawa ng bawat isa sa inyo sa pagpapabuti ng lagay ng kalusugan ng ating mga KaPROBINSYAnihan… RDH continues to raise the bar in public healthcare, na mas maging accessible, inclusive, at people-centered,” she said.
Joining the celebration were Provincial Health Officer Dr. Herminigildo Velasco, former Governor Francisco Emmanuel "Pacoy" Ortega III, and representatives from the Provincial Engineering Office and Provincial General Services Office.
For over five decades, RDH has remained a reliable healthcare provider for residents of Rosario and nearby municipalities. Under the leadership of the Provincial Government of La Union, RDH continues to forward the PUSO Agenda, specifically on Universal Access to Basic Needs, ensuring that quality healthcare remains within reach for every KaPROBINSYAnihan.
