The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) La Union Field Office (LUFO) conducted National Skills Registry System Program (NSRSP) Validation, Assessment and Re-orientation to the PESO Managers in La Union on May 4, 2018 at 3rd Floor LUPAC Bldg., City of San Fernando, La Union.
One of the NSRP component presented is the Public Employment Information System (PEIS). It is an enhanced version of the Skills Registry System that serves as a database of active work force supply containing the profiles of all persons registered under the NSRP. PEIS is an employment facilitation machinery of DOLE, which aims to address the growing problem of skills mismatch in our country. The web - based system is maintained and operated by all Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs) nationwide. The NSRSP Review aims to assess the compliance of program implementers to the implementing procedures of the project and to identify possible problems encountered that hinders the efficient implementation of the program.
Ms. Darbie Ann R. Fernandez, Labor and Employment Officer II, DOLE – LUFO, discussed the process flow of accessing the PEIS. Part of the presentation is the PEIS First Quarter Accomplishment Report CY 2018 for the province of La Union.
Likewise, Ms. Delia S. Chan, Supervising Labor & Employment Officer, DOLE – LUFO also discussed the newly amended Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) Procedural Flow and the Revised DOLE - Government Internship Program (GIP) guidelines.
DOLE – LUFO awarded Certificate of Participation to the PESO Managers for the active implementation of PESO Programs & Services.
