PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF BATANGAS BENCHMARKS PGLU HOSPITALS

BATANGAS BENCHMARKS PGLU HOSPITALS. Batangas Assistant Provincial Administrator Colin Berberabe Garcia discusses with Bacnotan District Hospital (BDH) Chief Dr. Zenserly Pagaduan about the operations of the Public-Private Partnership between the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) and Hemotek Renal Center, Inc. at BDH as he leads other employees from their province during the benchmarking of hospital best practices at BDH, Rosario District Hospital, and La Union Medical Center on September 3, 2019.
Employees from the Provincial Government of Batangas led by Assistant Provincial Administrator Colin Berberabe Garcia visited Bacnotan District Hospital (BDH), Rosario District Hospital, and La Union Medical Center for benchmarking activity on September 3, 2019.
The group visited the hospitals under the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) as a result of La Union’s best practices lectured by Dr. Rodolfo Tongson from the Provincial Health Office through a presentation to other provinces where Batangas was one of the audiences. Mr. Garcia’s group were accompanied by Dr. Tongson during these visits.
At BDH, they focused their interest on the Public-Private Partnership between the PGLU and Hemotek Renal Center, Inc. which started on 2016. They conducted an ocular visit at the dialysis center and learned on its operations and cost sharing scheme by the center and BDH.
BDH Chief Dr. Zenserly Pagaduan also toured the group around the hospital as she explains its operations and services. She imparted that as an economic enterprise, BDH has the power to hire more manpower that required.
Dr. Pagaduan and BDH Administrative Officer Miss Anne Girlie Dulay further shared how the BDH began as an economic enterprise. They also discussed the status of Philhealth payments of patients in the hospital which are all processed on times.
The visitors also checked the hospital equipment acquired through various modes like purchases from the hospital’s fund, Department of Health – Health Facilities Enhancement Program donation, and assistance from the Development Fund of the previous Governors and Gov. Pacoy.
Mr. Garcia and his group commended BDH and the support of the PGLU to its hospitals. He said they experienced warm welcome with smiles from the people of La Union.
