Provincial Assessor's Office Employee Returns Lost and Found Check

The Provincial Assessor’s Office headed by Provincial Assessor Engr. Arnulfo A. Cacho returned a check amounting to Php100,000 found at the Receiving Area of the Provincial Assessor’s Office on March 4, 2019.
The check was found when an employee was cleaning the office in the afternoon in which she immediately reported the lost brown envelope to the Administrative Office. The envelope was later found to contain documents and a pay to cash check.
Ms. Meann Mupa, a casual employee of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), was the one who found the check . In an interview, she said “I was cleaning the Office before I went home when I found a brown envelope under the chair.”
In a CCTV Footage, the owners were seen holding the brown envelope while requesting for an Annotation of Mortgage at the Receiving Area of the Provincial Assessor’s Office.
The check owners were identified to be residents of Barangay Pagdalagan Sur, Bauang, La Union.
