PROVINCE OF LA UNION RECOGNIZED FOR ITS OUTSTANDING, TIMELY IMPLEMENTATION OF THE I-BUILD SUBPROJECT

In pursuit of the province’s vision to be the “Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025,” the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) was recognized by the Department of Agriculture (DA) and World Bank for its outstanding and timely implementation of the I-Build subproject “Construction of Malicnao Bridge'' in Rosario, La Union. The bridge has a length of 63 lineal meters which costs Php38,947,267.22. This project was successfully completed on December 5, 2020 which is within the 512 calendar days timeline despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
The award was given by DA Regional Dir. Nestor Domenden and received by Governor Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III during the inauguration of the said bridge on February 23, 2021.
