As a demonstration of the Provincial Government of La Union’s commitment to public service, a Mass Oath-Taking of Newly-Appointed Employees and the Conferment of Service Awards were conducted to welcome and recognize the contributions of its workforce.
The Executive Department and District Hospitals held their oath-taking ceremony on August 5, 2024, at the La Union Convention Center, where 69 newly-appointed employees took their oath of office before Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David. On August 6, 2024, the Legislative Department held its oath-taking at the SP Bayview Hall, where 11 new employees were sworn in by Vice Governor Mario Eduardo C. Ortega.
All 80 employees pledged their commitment to serve the kaPROBINSYAnihan with the integrity, accountability, and excellence expected of public servants.
The PGLU also paid tribute to retiring employees who were conferred service awards. They were Mr. Melacio M. Galvez of the Provincial Engineering Office and Mr. Johnny P. Padre of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Office. They were both recognized for their decades of dedication and significant contributions to the PGLU.
The Mass Oath-Taking and Conferment of Service Awards is a vital part of the PGLU's call for La Union PROBINSYAnihan in its efforts to build a strong, unified, and motivated workforce, committed to public service.
