With the aim to improve the efficiency of filling, retrieving and storing documents as well as keeping track and monitoring the movements of the documents, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) gears toward faster and reliable government transactions by adopting the Information Tracking or iTRACK Information System (IS).
Chief of Information and Communications Technology Unit (ICTU) Gerry D. Binas-o presented the iTRACK IS to the Provincial Administrator Jennifer Joan O. Manguiat and personnel of Office of the Provincial Governor and Office of the Provincial Administrator on January 17, 2019 at the Diego Silang Hall, Provincial Capitol Building, City of San Fernando, La Union.
The system is one of the many different Information Systems that the ICTU planned and organized starting CY 2019. Through the IS, all forms will be saved electronically for easier searching and retrieving while requiring less paper outputs and room spaces. The ICTU will be guided through the Information System Strategic Plan (ISSP) where it presents the overall strategic plan for the development and implementation of the ICT-related innovations for the PGLU. It primarily aims to establish a rational framework for the development, acquisition of IT resources in the pursuit of the province’s vision, mission, goals and objectives and to formulate the information systems and its structure that will support the framework plan and action.
