PGLU Showcases KADUA Volunteerism Portal at the 1st Central Visayas Volunteerism Exhibit 2024

The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) proudly presented the KADUA Volunteerism Portal at the 1st Central Visayas Volunteerism Exhibit 2024, held at SM Seaside City, Cebu, on September 27, 2024.
At the exhibit, PGLU highlighted the KADUA Portal’s role in promoting structured volunteerism, fostering community engagement, and ensuring long-lasting positive change in La Union. The PGLU also showcased the La Union PROBINSYAnihan initiative, inviting everyone to join the growing community of volunteers committed to delivering transformational change in the province.
The La Union PROBINSYAnihan is a brainchild of Governor Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David, reflecting her vision of a united and compassionate community working together for meaningful progress. As a champion of civic engagement, Gov. Rafy actively encourages citizens to participate in various volunteer efforts, believing that kindness, compassion, and unity are essential to achieving sustainable progress.
The exhibit, organized by the National Economic and Development Authority, Regional Development Council Region 7, Philippine Red Cross-Cebu Chapter, and the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency, featured various organizations showcasing their volunteerism programs, including the Philippine Red Cross, Global Initiative for Exchange and Development Inc., Department of Tourism Region 7, Pangasinan State University, Coastal Conservation and Education Foundation Inc., Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc., University of the Philippines – Cebu, Department of Justice – Parole and Probation Administration, and Department of Social Welfare and Development Region 7.
Students from various Cebu schools attended the event, gaining inspiration from the stories of Search for Outstanding Volunteers finalists and awardees.
PGLU remains committed to advancing the #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan, fostering a culture of volunteerism anchored on kindness, compassion, and unity. Through these efforts, the province aims to build a community driven by sustainable development and progress.
