PGLU shares Best Practices on its Moral Recovery Program with the City Government of San Pedro, Laguna

To intensify ethical and spiritual initiatives toward the institutionalization of a Moral Recovery Program (MRP) in the City Government of San Pedro, Laguna, their delegates, headed by Mr. Orlando Sadia, conducted a benchmarking activity at the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) on August 9, 2024.
The delegates were welcomed by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David, represented by Engr. Robert L. Lelina, Acting Assistant Provincial Administrator and partners from the National Chaplains of the Philippines headed by Provincial Director and Chaplain Rene O. Tamoria. During the visit, PGLU shared its best practices and emphasized the importance of a holistic approach to establishing a successful MRP.
The Office of the Provincial Administrator, through its Human Resource Management Unit, presented the institutionalization of the MRP in the province of La Union through the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Ordinance No. 168-2019. The program's integration into various PGLU activities, such as the Values Restoration Officers Training by the Council for the Restoration of Filipino Values, Values/Bible Sharing, Posting of Weekly Values, Bible Week and Bible Day Celebrations, and Filipino Core Values Workshops, was showcased as a model for effective governance. These activities highlight the importance of the PGLU’s core values as the foundation of its governance charter and roadmap.
The benchmarking activity serves as a testament to achieving excellent performance and providing quality service to the KaPROBINSYAnihan as the PGLU exemplifies and strengthens its core values.
