Ortega III, on March 31,2021, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) met with the local government units (LGUs) identified as critical and high risk to identify aspects where the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) can augment to help manage the recent surge of CoViD-19 cases in the province.
Dialogues were conducted with the first batch of LGUs including San Gabriel, Luna, Balaoan, Bacnotan and San Juan discussing the policies and direction of the province in its CoViD-19 response. They also discussed the Provincial Core Team Against CoViD-19's findings in terms of epidemic risk levels of each LGU.
In return, the LGUs discussed their ongoing activities to mitigate the surge in CoViD-19 cases to which Assistant PDRRMO Alvin Cruz gave recommendations for them to further improve their services.
The dialogue with the next batch of high risk areas will be conducted today, April 1, 2021 in the LGUs of Bauang, Naguilan, Aringay, Agoo, Santo Tomas and Pugo.
Through these dialogues, PGLU is prepared to augment the needs of its component LGUs in the fight against CoVid-19 ensuring the safety of its constituents.
When we are united and working as one, we are stronger in this fight. You can contribute by staying at home and practicing minimum health standards all the time.
