PGLU, PNP-LUPPO calls for #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan to Ensure Peace and Order; No place for Violence in LU

Known as a governor of quick responses, Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David immediately coordinated with the Philippine National Police - La Union Police Provincial Office to ensure peace, order, and public safety in the province following the mauling incident in Rosario, La Union.
The victim of mauling on September 18, 2023 at Barangay Rabon, Rosario, La Union was identified as Mr. Francisco Laconsay. Gov. Rafy immediately sent assistance in the form of: covering the hospital bill and a gift basket to express support and well wishes. PNP-LUPPO Provincial Director Lambert Suerte also provided the victim’s transportation back home and led the investigation of the case.
Mr. Laconsay and his family expressed their gratitude for the gesture of joint support and quick assistance from Gov. Rafy and the Provincial Government of La Union as well as the PNP-LUPPO.
Gov. Rafy reiterates that there is no place for violence and fearmongering in the province and assures residents that authorities are on top of the situation. She also encourages every kaprobinsiaan to join in #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan by spreading the love not hate.
Kaprobinsiaan are encouraged to report to authorities any incident of violence or call 911 for emergency cases.
