PGLU Joins National Zero Waste Month Celebration

The Provincial Government of La Union joins the celebration of the National Zero Waste Month through a beach fun walk activity and coastal clean-up drive dubbed as "Pagna Pagna para iti Basura" on January 25, 2020 along the shorelines of Paringao to Pugo, Bauang, La Union. Over 800 participants participated in the event with an estimated 5 cubic meters of trash collected and disposed in the sanitary landfill of Bauang. Said activity was conducted in partnership with the Municipality of Bauang and Department of Environment and Natural Resources Environmental Management Bureau Region 1 in compliance to Presidential Proclamation No. 760 declaring January as National Zero Waste Month.
