The Office of the Provincial Administrator - Human Resource Management Unit (OPA-HRMU) conducted the monthly Staff Development Program (SDP) for employees born in May at the Diego Silang Hall, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union on May 24, 2019.

A total of 59 employees from the different offices and hospitals of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) attended the said event. The celebrants for this month get to indulge in a day of relaxation, spiritual reconnecting and talks on raising environmental awareness.

One of the speakers, Rev. Brennus Blair Guilleromo H. Paragas, Chaplain of Lorma, reminded the celebrants on what they should prioritize in life through a figurative comparison of life with a jar being filled with items representing the wants and needs that people crave for.

Through team building activities provided by the secretariat, the SDP also served as an avenue for gathering and uniting employees towards a goal of transformative governance.

OPA-HRMU, in coordination with the Provincial Health Office, also provided free medical services such as Blood Pressure monitoring; Urinalysis; random blood sugar testing; Hemoglobin and Hematocrit testing; and Blood typing.

The SDP is a monthly activity of PGLU to celebrate employees’ birth month.
