The Provincial Government of La Union through the Local Economic Enterprise and Investment Enterprise and Investment Promotions Unit (LEEIPU) is currently preparing for the Most Business-Friendly Award submission of the Province of La Union.

In line with the 47th Philippine Business Conference’s theme “LGUs Innovative Response for the Recovery and Growth of Business,” members of the Most Business-Friendly Technical Working Group met on July 1, 2021, via Online Conference to discuss guidelines in the conduct of the Search for the 2021 Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit.

The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) annually spearheads the search for the Most Business-Friendly (MBF) Local Government Unit (LGUs) to commend the efforts of the LGUs that have been successfully restoring and increasing the business operations in their localities through significant and sustained innovative actions, programs and policies amidst the extreme challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The MBF also aims to highlight the best practices of LGUs that go beyond mere compliance to address the negative impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to the business community.

The PGLU has been persistent in empowering the business sector through various projects in partnership with national line agencies and component local government units.
