Cesario Fortes reached his 45-year milestone while Ruben Daclan also reached his 40-year milestone as public servants in PGLU. This proves that PGLU employees render notable and significant contributions to the organization and public service.

Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David expressed her appreciation for the diligent effort and passionate commitment of every PGLU employee in realizing their purpose and maintaining a steadfast focus on a common goal.

"It is your hard work, passion, and pakikipag La Union PROBINSYAnihan that have propelled us to new heights and made La Union shine brightly. With that, masasabi kong napakaswerte ko po talaga na maaasahan ko ang bawat opisina at bawat isa sa inyo, and I am sincerely thankful for that," the Governor said.

Moreover, Gov. Rafy emphasized the critical significance of mental well-being among employees, urging them to prioritize moments of rest and rejuvenation for them to be able to serve the kaprobinsiaan better, stating, "They say you can't pour from an empty cup, and if you neglect to refill your own cup, if you burn yourselves out, you won't be able to continue making that positive difference for our kaprobinsiaan."

Also present to show their support to the whole PGLU family were Board Members Maria Rosario Eufrosina "Chary" P. Nisce and Henry B. Balbin.

The PGLU Family Day 2023 was a resounding success, serving as a testament to the province's unwavering commitment to recognizing and engaging its dedicated employees while fostering a culture of unity and excellence.
