PGLU Daycare Pupils Moved Up

A STEP AHEAD. Graduates of the Provincial Government of La Union Child Development Center sing their graduation song during their Moving up Ceremony on May 2, 2019 at the La Union Technology and Livelihood Center, City of San Fernando, La Union. A total of 341 day care children were awarded with certificates of completion and participation.
The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) held the 9th Closing and Moving up Ceremonies for Day Care Children on May 2 and 3, 2019 at the La Union Technology and Livelihood Development Center, City of San Fernando, La Union.
331 pre-school children received their certificates of completion during the ceremony and will be moving up to Kindergarten for formal education under the Department of Education in the opening of the next school year.
Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III, Guest of Honor and Speaker, was represented by Executive Assistant Justo Orros III who shared his words of wisdom to the day care children and parents during the said activity. In the Governor’s message, he emphasized that PGLU prioritizes the education of youth and children.
The candidates for completion were presented and confirmed by Social Welfare Officer Elnora P. Dela Cuesta representing the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Ranilo P. Ipac. The donning of the ribbons and awarding of certificates were facilitated by Mr. Justo Orros III, assisted by Ms. Dela Cuesta and assigned PGLU Child Development Workers.
The activity was conducted in two batches; the first batch on May 2, 2019 to include Child Development Centers in the municipalities of Bacnotan, Bauang, Naguilian and the City of San Fernando, while the second batch on May 3, 2019 included the local government units of Aringay, Agoo, and Tubao.
