PGLU Celebrates Arbor Day 2021

Amidst the CoViD -19 pandemic, the Provincial Government of La Union through the Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) remains steadfast in fulfilling its role as environmental initiator by conducting Bamboo Planting activity in observance of the La Union Arbor Day on June 7, 2021 along river bank at Bucayab, Bauang, La Union where 75 propagules were planted.
La Union Arbor Day was declared through Provincial Ordinance No. 034-2012, An Act Declaring and Fixing the first Monday of June every year as the Arbor Day of Tree Planting in La Union. The activity was done in collaboration with the Municipal and Barangay Local Government Unit as well as the Quarry permit Holders of Bauang, La Union. Said activity was attended by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member Nancy Corazon M. Bacurnay and Bauang Mayor Menchie C. Lomboy-De Guzman.
