PESO, RTWBP Strengthen Service Quality in LU Tourism Establishments

Donglayan talks about environment-friendly and sustainable productivity tools, techniques and technologies during the Service Quality and Green Productivity Training on December 13, 2019 at People’s Hall, Municipality of San Juan, La Union. Representatives from the different hotels, resorts, and restaurants in the Municipality of San Juan, La Union attended the training organized by Public Employment Service Office – La Union.

The Provincial Public Employment Service Office, in partnership with the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) Region I and the Municipality of San Juan, La Union through their Public Employment Service Office, conducted Service Quality and Green Productivity Training on December 13, 2019 at People’s Hall, San Juan, La Union.

The activity aimed to assist enterprises, workers and employers to achieve sustainable enterprises with greener workplace through workplace cooperation.

The program was attended by 34 representatives from different hotels, resorts and restaurants in the Municipality of San Juan, La Union.

Board Secretary VI Atty. Romina E. Boado – Cabrillos of the RTWPB- RO I, gave an overview about their services on wages, income and productivity. Records Officer Mr. Ben A. Donglayan of RTWPB- RO I discussed the concepts and principles of productivity, process improvement and teamwork; proper application of environment – friendly and sustainable productivity tools, techniques and technologies; different best practices in providing quality service to clients; and the 7s of Good Housekeeping. Mr. Donglayan encouraged the participants to practice workplace values and cooperation to strengthen work team and improve work environment.

This training is an initiative of the PESO-La Union in providing tourism-related establishment workers a venue to gain and enhance their knowledge on service quality and skills in a productive and eco-friendly workplace.

RTWPB is an attached agency of DOLE mandated to enterprise workers in the region and promote productivity improvement programs.
