PESO – LU JOINS LABOR MARKET INFORMATION TRAINING

Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Manager Ms. Charito C. Dator together with the Delegates from PESO-La Union and Department of Labor and Employment Officers shows their Certificates of Participation during the conduct of Labor Market Information Training on February 20 – 21, 2020 at Xenia Hotel, Clark, Angeles, Pampanga.
18 Public Employment Service Office (PESO) delegates from La Union including La Union PESO Manager Charito Dator, joined the Local Government Unit PESO Managers from the different provinces of Region I in two – day training program on Labor Market Information (LMI) which is included in the activities of the Regional PESO Congress Year End Performance Assessment on February 19 – 20, 2020 at Xenia Hotel, Clark, Angeles, Pampanga.
PESO Managers were educated about the sources of information regarding future labor conditions by occupation; in-demand jobs; and skills shortages through client-specific information, education and communication materials.
Department of Labor and Employment-Regional Office I (DOLE–RO I) invited Senior Labor and Employment Officer Ryan Roberto E. Delos Reyes of DOLE-National Capital Region as the resource speaker for the LMI Training. Mr. Delos Reyes discussed the importance of labor market and LMI’s role in gathering relevant information to determine the economic and employment projections of the localities. The participants were also introduced to the 4th Industrial Revolution and its effect to the labor market.
PESO – La Union participates in LMI Trainings, to ensure that their services and programs are better implemented.
