Selected employees from from 17 Provincial Government of La Union offices participated in the series of Personal Balanced Scorecard (PBS) Workshop on “ Embracing the Better Me” from October 7 to 11, 2019 at Hotel Ariana and Villa Veronica, Bauang, La Union.

The Office of the Provincial Strategy (OPS) led the initiative in partnership with the Office for Provincial Administrator – Human Resource Management Unit (OPA – HRMU) to equip employees with effective tools that will bring balance between professional and personal growth and development.

Facilitators delivered lectures on the four identified goals: Career, Money, Health, Relationship, and Personal Growth. Basic concepts on financial management, career growth and development, physical and mental health and wellness, building positive relationships with one’s self and others, and personal growth and development plans were introduced.

Participants were eager to examine their current values and habits. Facilitators provided employees with PBS workbook to induce self-reflection among the employees. They were encouraged to identify their personal mission and vision statements and their targets for each of the four goals.

OPA – HRMU was tasked to monitor the progress of employees every quarter using the PBS worksheet. PBS workshop garnered positive feedback from participants such as, “Refreshing, enlightening, and would benefit all PGLU employees.”
