PATULOY ANG PAGSULONG NG EDUKASYON SA GITNA NG PANDEMYA
As the Department of Education (DepEd) gears up for the scheduled opening of classes on August 24, 2020, the Provincial School Board (PSB) of the Province of La Union chaired by Gov. Pacoy held its regular meeting via Zoom on July 22, 2020 to discuss preparations undertaken for DepEd's "blended learning" initiatives.
In the meeting presided PSB Co-Chair and DepEd La Union Schools Division Superintendent, Atty. Donato Balderas Jr., the PSB discussed the status of its 2020 programs and proposals for 2021. These include the activities aligned to the DepEd's Learning Continuity Plan, which seeks to ensure that students’ learning progresses amidst the pandemic.
The PSB also tackled the plans on the procurement of teaching equipment, tools and materials to aid teachers and learners in the virtual learning sessions.
Gov. Pacoy expressed his full support to the endeavors of the PSB, as the Provincial Government remains resolute in its initiatives for transformative educational governance. The PGLU believes that through their uninterrupted learning and education, our youth and learners can contribute in building a #StrongerLaUnion.
