In pursuit of providing a transformative plan for tourism development in La Union, on August 10, 2022, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) led by Governor Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David, convened tourism stakeholders and partners for possible forthcoming tourism projects and initiatives in her office at the Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.

To protect the water resources of the province from the ill-effects of climate change, the University of the Philippines – College of Forestry and Natural Resources (UPLB-CFNR), Los Baños, Laguna headed by Dr. Juan Pulhin, Project Leader together with partner agencies presented two watershed management projects for La Union during the 6th Regular Session of the 23rd Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) on August 9, 2022.

The meeting highlights the provincial government’s commitment in supporting Youth Development initiatives and programs of the province.
The University of the Philippines- Los Banos, College of Forestry and Natural Resources (UPLB-CFNR) led by Dr. Juan M. Pulhin and Dr. Rex Victor Cruz, paid a courtesy call to Governor Rafy on August 9, 2022 at the Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.
The Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) headed by Executive Director Donald James D. Gawe visited the Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator headed by Michaela Louise T. Delfinado, the Volunteerism Focal Person of the Provincial Government of La Union on August 09, 2022 to discuss on-going and future volunteerism initiatives of the Province in partnership with PNVSCA. One of the priorities of Governor Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David is the strengthening of the involvement of the private sector in the development of the province.
