OPVet Gives Update on African Swine Fever

Provincial Veterinarian Dr. Nida N. Gapuz updates the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawgian (SP) on the situation of the swine industry in the province particularly on African Swine Fever (ASF) cases during the Committee Hearing of the SP Committee on Agriculture and Aquatic Resources on September 17, 2019 at the 3rd Basement, SP Session Hall, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union. Dr. Gapuz confirmed that La Union is ASF-free. She also presented and discussed the different measures as well as pre-emptive action plans that their offices are undertaking to prevent the virus from infecting local piggeries.
