A New Zealand Rock Legend, Mr. Larry Morris Sturdy, donates a portable ultrasound machine to Bacnotan District Hospital (BDH) on May 3, 2018.

On one of his vacations in the Philippines on April last year with his Filipina wife, Mrs. Gloria Domingo Sturdy, he has seen the bulk of patients at BDH during his consultation with one of the resident physicians, Dr. Resie Aurea C. Pimpinio.

Recognizing the healthcare need of one of the patients, he fulfilled his promise to donate an ultrasound machine to the hospital and came back after a year. According to him, he was pleased by the kind of service received from the hospital staff and wanted to help improve the hospital’s services.

Larry as he is popularly known happened to be the singer of the rock and roll band, Larry's Rebels, in the 60’s. At present, he is a well-respected entertainer in Auckland, New Zealand. He also has a beach house at Balaoan, La Union.
