New Mutia ti La Union to be Proclaimed

In celebration of the 169th La Union Foundation Anniversary, the most anticipated Search for Mutia ti La Union have started. 20 candidates from the different Local Government Units of the provinces are vying for the crown.
Endorsed by their municipal mayors, the candidates are Camille Dalmacio of Agoo; Shy Escobar of Aringay; Ema Fontanilla of Bacnotan; Hazel Bacungan of Bagulin; Rose Bulong of Balaoan; Tin Tin Aquino of Bangar; Dimple Martin of Bauang; Issa Arsitio of Burgos; Melia Tessmer of Caba; Aleeya Sampaga of Luna; Jessy Estillore of Naguilian; Becca Estrada of Pugo; Nerissa Shawyer of Rosario; Majo Quilon of San Fernando; Vana Valdez of San Gabriel; Joy-joy Valdriz of San Juan; Ging Soliven of Santo Tomas; Ethel Ordoño of Santol; Meghan Sanglay of Sudipen; and Thel Abellanosa of Tubao.
The candidates were carefully screened in terms of their connection to La Union. To qualify, they must prove that they are either a resident of the province or have roots in here. Candidate must also be 16-23 years old, single and not a title holder of any beauty pageant in the national, regional or provincial pageants.
The candidates went through series of trainings which included Personality Development; Poise and Posture; Make up Tutorial; and Dance Rehearsals. They also had their Team Building Activity which strengthened their bond.
The Talent Competition was conducted on February 23, 2019 at the Diego Silang Hall, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union where Ms. Bacnotan, Ms. San Fernando, and Ms. Agoo were declared as talent finalists. Miss Talent will be proclaimed during the pageant night on March 2, 2019, 7:30 PM at Poro Point Baywalk, City of San Fernando, La Union to be hosted by Luis Manzano and Bayani Agbayani.
