New DILG Region 1 Director Pays Courtesy Call to Governor Rafy Ortega-David

In a gesture of goodwill and cooperation, the newly appointed Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 1 Regional Director, Jonathan Paul M. Leusen, Jr., CESO III, paid a courtesy call to Gov. Raphaelle Veronica "Rafy" Ortega-David on July 4, 2023. The meeting, which took place at the provincial capitol, aimed to strengthen the partnership between the DILG and the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU).
The courtesy call served as an opportunity for the new regional director to introduce himself, outline his vision for the department's role in the province, and discuss #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan initiatives with the governor.
During the meeting, both RD Leusen and Gov. Rafy emphasized the importance of effective coordination between the DILG Region 1 and PGLU, including its component Local Government Units, to address various concerns and deliver quality public services to the kaprobinsiaan. Gov. Rafy expressed her full support to RD Leusen and the initiatives and programs of the DILG Region 1 in his tenure.
Also present during the courtesy call were DILG La Union Provincial Director Reggie R. Colisao, CESO V and PEO II Veronica L. Biascan.
With this renewed partnership between the PGLU and DILG Region 1, kaprobinsiaan can look forward to a more efficient public service, leading to the sustainable development of the province.
