NDH’s Resource Management Practices Bring Pride to La Union, Win IHOMP Award

The Department of Health Center for Health Development 1 conferred Naguilian District Hospital with the prestigious Integrated Hospital Operations and Management Program (IHOMP) for its Best Practices for Resource Management during the Region I Health Promotion Awards for Healthy Health Facility and Green Conference 2024 held on November 26, 2024, at Plaza Del Norte in Laoag City.

Said recognition highlights NDH’s exceptional efforts in managing and optimizing health resources to enhance the quality and sustainability of healthcare services for kaPROBINSYAnihan from Naguilian and nearby towns.

Their award-winning practices include implementing cost-effective strategies, leveraging community partnerships, and enhancing operational efficiency to maximize the benefits for their patients and stakeholders.

Receiving the award on behalf of NDH’s Chief of Hospital Dr. Dan William Y. Dacanay II, were NDH's health management team including Julie E. Costales, Administrative Officer V; Joy F. Lictan, Chief Nurse; and Marvin V. Patacsil, Laborer.

Governor Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David commended NDH for its achievement, emphasizing the importance of resource management in ensuring accessible and sustainable healthcare services.

Moving forward, NDH aims to continue refining its initiatives, expanding community-based health programs, and exploring innovative partnerships, through La Union PROBINSYAnihan, to sustain its momentum in healthcare excellence in the province.
