NDH Staff Oriented on Company Policies

Medical Officer III Dr. Michelle D. Arellano discusses the updated assignments of the Medical Staff of Naguilian District Hospital (NDH) during their Monthly General Staff Meeting on July 11, 2019 at the NDH, Naguilian, La Union.

To ensure competent hospital manpower, the employees of Naguilian District Hospital (NDH) underwent a review of Provincial Government of La Union policies during the Monthly General Staff Meeting (GSM) on July 11, 2019 at the NDH, Naguilian, La Union spearheaded by Dr. Michelle D. Arellano, Medical Officer III of NDH.

Among the things discussed during the said GSM were the reiteration of the rules on leave of absence; use of personnel locator slip; attendance to flag raising and flag retreat; attendance to meetings; work attendance; office attires; and attendance to staff development program. Updated assignments of the Medical Staff effective July 2019 were also discussed.

The NDH Awards Committee (NAC) member Ms. Julie E. Costales discussed about the Policy on Nomination and Election of Best Employee. Since employee recognition can create a culture that engages and aligns employees with organizational goals. The awards to be given are Best Employee of the Unit Award to be nominated unanimously or of majority of all staff of the unit if there is any that qualify; Outstanding Employee of the Year Award to be nominated unanimously or of majority of all NAC members from the pool of nominees coming from units and sections of the hospital; and Most Outstanding Employee of the Year Award to be nominated unanimously or of majority of all staff from the pool of nominees coming from units and sections of the hospital. The recipient of the Most Outstanding Employee of the Year Award will endorsed for the Ten Outstanding Provincial Public Servants Awards of the province.

The meeting ended with Medical Officer III Mariel T. Duque’s re-echo of her training at Vigan, Ilocos Sur regarding the Revised Dengue Clinical Case Management for Hospitals. She shared updates on early signs and symptoms of Dengue and educated employees on how to make a home-made Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS).
