LUPJ Detainee Information System Launched

The Information and Communications Technology Unit (ICTU), in coordination with the La Union Provincial Jail (LUPJ) deploys the Detainees Information System (DIS) on June 07, 2019, at the LUPJ, Brgy. Pias, City of San Fernando, La Union.
After the deployment of the Detainee Information System at the La Union Provincial Jail (LUPJ), Information and Communications Technology Unit personnel gives a short overview and demonstration on how to use the finger print and photo caption feature; monitor the system; and generate report to the LUPJ personnel who will be in-charge in handling the Detainee Information System on June 07, 2019 at the La Union Provincial Jail, Brgy. Pias City of San Fernando, La Union.
The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), through the Information and Communications Technology Unit (ICTU), launched its own Detainee Information System (DIS) for the La Union Provincial Jail (LUPJ) on June 7, 2019 at the LUPJ, F. Ortega Highway, San Fernando City, La Union.
Since the ICTU was recognized as an over-all support office on the La Union Mid-term Strategy 2019-2022 Roadmap, it aimed to provide an information system that will boost and hasten the services of the PGLU. The DIS is one of the systems that has been developed in-house by the ICTU work force.
The DIS aimed to hasten the monitoring and recording process of detainees of the LUPJ. This system helps the personnel of LUPJ track and book the detainee’s information effectively and efficiently. It also has its own visitor’s log to monitor all the incoming and outgoing visitor. Aside from that, it will also decrease the time for the preparation of their reports as the system will automatically generate the report and master list of all the detainee.
