LUPJ Conducts Small Scale Tilapia Farming Seminar

๐—ฆ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น ๐—ฆ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ฒ ๐—ง๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐—ฎ ๐—™๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—ฟ. In its quest to attain the strategic alignment to the Transformative Governance Roadmap of the Province of La Union, the La Union Provincial Jail (LUPJ) in coordination with the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist Office conducted a Small Scale Tilapia Farming Seminar on May 20 and 21, 2021. A total of 26 persons deprived of liberty (PDL) attended the said seminar where they acquired knowledge and skills necessary in raising small scale tilapia farming which they can use upon their reintegration to the society. A total of 200 tilapia fingerlings are now being raised at the fishpond of the LUPJ and being maintained by selected PDL.
