LUMC SPORTSFEST 2018 KICKS OFF

La Union Medical Center (LUMC) employees register in the different ball games and sports activities that aim to strengthen the bond among them and to imbue the value of team spirit to everyone during LUMC’s 3rd Sportsfest on March 1, 2019 in Agoo, La Union.

In its belief that one of the driving forces that allow the delivery of quality health care services to its clientele is a healthy body and a sound mind, the La Union Medical Center (LUMC), through its Gender and Development (GAD) Program, has officially opened its thirdSportsfest on March 1, 2019 in Agoo, La Union.

The opening ceremony was highlighted by a Fun Run that was participated in by the employees and players of the seven participating teams together with their team captains. Several activities, which include ball games, individual and team sports were carefully lined up to provide the employees opportunities to showcase their competencies.

LUMC employees registered in the different ball games and sports activities that aim to strengthen the bond among them and to imbue the value of team spirit to everyone.

Dr. Joseph Mannix F. Galimba, stressed in his opening remarks the importance of developing the employees’ character and determination to excel in carrying out their functions.

The competition will run for the entire month of March and shall continue until April 2019 during LUMC’s 17th Anniversary celebration.

LUMC Sportsfest 2019 is just one of the many activities being conducted by the hospital for its employees under the leadership of its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Glenn Ernest M. Fonbuena. The hospital also does regular technical trainings for its staff, undertakes community-based projects like tree-planting, medical missions and feeding programs.
