Villegas of Lingayen-Dagupan, in his homily, emphasized the importance of unity between the government and the church saying, “In La Union there should be no separation between God and man…when the province, politics, culture, ecology, business are separated from God, all these human activities become immoral.”
Bishop Presto expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and committed to serve as a collaborator in aspects where the Catholic Church and the Government work together to promote human development, local culture, ecological development, peace, sports and religious tourism.
Bishop Presto was born in Mangaldan, Pangasinan on April 7, 1963 and was ordained as priest at the age of 27 for the Diocese of Iba, Zambales.
