LU Assessor’s Guidebook Launched

The Provincial Government of La Union through the Office of the Provincial Assessor launches the Assessor’s Guidebook presenting the laws and policies on upholding financial stability through sound tax collection and revenue generation on October 21, 2019 at Diego Silang Hall, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union. All 19 Municipal Assessors of LU were present during the event.
The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the Office of the Provincial Assessor’s (OPAss) launched the La Union Assessor’s Guidebook on Real Property Tax Assessment at Diego Silang, Capitol Building, City of San Fernando, La Union on October 21, 2019.
The distribution of Assessor’s Guidebook was led by Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III and Provincial Assessor Engr. Arnulfo A. Cacho to the 19 Municipal Assessors of La Union.
Engr. Cacho said, “The purpose of the book is to provide technical assistance to assessors disseminating the information to the general public on procedures of real property tax assessment, tax mapping, valuation and examination.”
In addition to the commitment of OPAss to improve service delivery, they also released an audio visual presentation on the functions of the Assessor’s Office for public awareness. This was produced in collaboration with the Media and Public Information Unit.
The governor shared that Real Property tax is one of the revenue sources of Local Government Units and he is thankful for the commitment and support of the assessors to the administration as they play a big role to achieve the vision of PGLU to become the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.
